Job Description
Under close supervision, performs limited or routine preventative maintenance duties in ensuring that machines and equipment are properly maintained or repaired and assists skilled mechanics in performing complex maintenance duties.
This position will be on 1st shift - M-F from 6AM-2:30PM.

+ Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization?s policies, procedures, and state, federal and local laws.
+ Assists in troubleshooting or performing necessary repairs on various types of production and packaging equipment.
+ Performs routine preventative maintenance on production machinery according to PM schedules.
+ Performs general maintenance including welding and basic electric; fabricates and installs parts when necessary, and documents all repair or maintenance work done on any equipment.
+ Assists skilled mechanics in performing maintenance duties.
+ Performs related duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge and Skills :
Knowledge of :
+ Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and other regulatory requirements.
+ Equipment operations and maintenance practices.
+ Standard Operating Procedures for equipment operations including safety rules and regulations.
+ Mechanical, electrical and pneumatic control systems.
+ Mechanical and electrical principles and applications.
+ Food or pharmaceutical equipment.
Skill in:
+ Performing preventative maintenance on all assigned equipment and operating systems.
+ Complying with all Company policies and procedures.
+ Following all Company safety rules and regulations, recognizing hazards and taking appropriate corrective action.
+ Maintaining a clean and orderly work area.
+ Reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics.
+ Understanding and following written and oral instructions.
+ Communicating clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
+ Establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with individuals contacted in the course of work.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions : Incumbents in this class are subject to extended periods of sitting, standing, walking, pushing and pulling, stooping and crouching climbing and walking, vision to monitor, occasional lifting of equipment or materials weighing up to 75 pounds. Incumbents may be exposed to toxic materials, toxic gases, electrical hazards, and dangerous tools and equipment. Work is performed in a manufacturing environment.
Minimum Qualifications : High School diploma or equivalent, and prefer hands-on or vocational school training, and a minimum of one (1) year of mechanical maintenance experience preferably in food, cosmetic or pharmaceutical in a manufacturing environment; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Must possess a valid Driver?s License and acceptable driving history.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
